Exhibiting at Armley Gallery

Armley Gallery, located in Armley Library, invites artists to submit work for display. The work will be hung on 8 columns, the maximum size being 45.5 cms by 123 cms (20 in by 47 in approx.). We are looking for work that makes a ‘virtue’ of this format.

Submissions are welcome from individuals and groups wishing to occupy all eight columns, and from individuals wishing to submit only one work to be shown in the context of a group show. We also have a sealed, square display case avaiable (80 cm by 80cm approx.).

Submissions will be assessed by the gallery committee and can take any form such as slides, Jpegs, photos, drawings etc. Please contact us to learn more.

The students exhibiting are working towards the Level 1 Creative & Media Diploma a vocational course of 5 GCSE equivalents.  The course covers all areas of the Creative and Media industries involving the planning and production of art, video, audio and performance work.

Students were asked by to produce marketing materials publicising the library and its facilities.  The banners displayed are all the student’s work with original photography and art work and will be exhibited in the gallery until the end of December.
